UniStream and USB serial device

It is possible to connect serial devices to the USB port via USB to serial convertor.

For this you will need to select on communication>physical under USB under the parameter USB Port Settings> Initialize Port for> Tx/Rx

If you wish to connect the device  to the USB port, without a USB to serial converter then please review the USB serial reader’s manual to see what kind of drivers it uses. If the USB barcode reader has a prolific driver (USB to serial), then it might be possible to connect to the USB host and use then message composer to receive strings send by this scanner but we cannot be 100% sure.

The UniStream USB interface at this time can recognize only Prolific chip as a USB-to-serial interface.

Either way we recommend using a serial barcode reader and not a USB.

You'll need to use Message composer along with the parse message and Com TX/RX functions in order to create the message that is send by the barcode and get the number to the tag.

I attached examples.
