UniLogic splash screen (Loading components) appear and crash immediately

An issue has been found in the .NET Framework January 2018 Security and Quality Rollup (KB 4055002), applicable to .NET Framework 4.7.1 installed on either Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

This cause UniLogic splash screen (Loading components) to appear and crash immediately.

Solution:

  1. Download https://dotnetbinaries.blob.core.windows.net/kbassets/KB4074906/fixittool-KB4074906.exe
  2. Run the file.
  3. Reboot machine and re-launch UniLogic if you still have trouble
