Unitronics Remote IO Quick Start Guide

Wiring the Power to the Remote IO

On the side of the Remote IO Adaptor you can find a wiring diagram on how to connect the power:

Connect 24V to pin 2, 8 and 9

Connect 0V to pin 5, 6 and 7

Setting the Remote IO`s IP (Default IP 192.168.100.100).

Turn off WIFI/Bluetooth pf your PC.

Turn off the PC`s FireWall.

  • Connect your Remote IO to your PC via Ethernet cable.
  • Open "BOOTP Server" software from UniLogic dynamic ribbon:

In order to detect the remote IO, you MUST Power cycle the Remote IO.

This Adaptor will send 20 consecutive BOOTP requests messages every 2 seconds ONLY after power cycle.

Make sure that dipswitch 9 in ON AND THE Ethernet cable is connected before the power cycle in order to the adaptor to be detected.

In order to detect the remote IO with the new IP, you MUST Power cycle the Remote IO once when dip-switch 9 is on, power off switch off the dip-switch9 and power on the URB.

Press on "Start BOOTP"

You will see new connections being added, check your Adeptors MAC adress and doble click to select your addaptor.

Set up your Adaptors  IP.

You can see that your new adapter has acquired your new IP.

Power off your Adapter and switch back dip switch 9 to OFF.

Open your terminal to verify communication with the Adapter.

Once the IP is set to the URB, set dip switches off and set at least one IO unit to the URB to communicate between the PLC to the URB.

Setting the URB IP with a different domain can be done via RUB MAC.:
